This katana is a handmade Carbon steel sword for 100%. The knife blade is thoroughly tempered and fabricated by making, hot forging, shoveling, deadening, grinding, heat treatment, tempering, repairing and truing for dozens of Longquan manufacturing processes . The blade hardness is 52HRC. With two bamboo nails, they are fixed firmly, so that it can cut off a bamboo by striking for once. However, it is sharp enough to cut a piece of paper.

Love the sword itself since I am a fan of the show but the packaging was half ass and the sword arrived in a torn in half box that someone had taped back together. The seller just put the sword in a thin cloth bag with no packing materials at all to absorb the knocking around it would receive in transit. The swords scabbard/saya got dinged up a bit but nothing to major thank goodness. The UPS delivery driver recommended I refuse to accept it and log a complaint but once I got the mauled box open and saw it was just a few deep dings and scratches I just said fuc$ it. I am a big fan of Afro Samurai and didn’t want to go through any damage claim BS. So my advice to this shop is PACK YOUR SWORDS PROPERLY FOR SHIPPING TO AVIOD DAMAGE! This shop has some solid products but if they need to get their packaging issues worked out!!
